Purpose and Meaning of Education Essay Example for Free

Purpose and Meaning of procreation EssayPoverty is my pride, struggle is my vogue of life, statement is my apparatus and love of Allah is my strength. (Hazrat Mohammad PBUH). Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which bashledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next done teaching, training, research, or simply through auto-didacticism. Generally, it occurs through any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts. Islam has put neat stress on Education. The very first word of the first revelation was Iqra means read. The Holy Quran emphasizes more that seeking of knowledge is compulsory upon all man woman. Islam has given very clear instructions for the Education and has made it compulsory for all the genders equally. The purpose of education according to Islam is to resolve the humanity in every possible way and lead a peaceful life by obeying the commandments of Allah ( the only creator of the entire universe).Lack of education is the root work of every trouble and misery. It is education only by which we can bring change, peace as well as prosperity in the world. Our aim should be clear in this regard that the only possible way to arrange human life as better as we can is education only. We know very well that education is the only weapon which is the best anti-biotic to every evil cause. We can destroy every evil strength through this weapon and bring desirable changes in every part of the globe. Today when we look at the world we find it divided on the bases of religion, race, colour, caste, creed and tribe. Sectarian and ethnic discrimination has drawn the boundaries of hate and egotism. We can overcome all these by spreading education in the entire world and make it a way towards social and global brotherhood on the basis of humanity.Past history proves that human is the most furious creature on this planet which is why nowadays we see thi s bloody picture and insecurity all over the world but if we adopt the education in our characters and deeds we can surely make this world a better place to hold on. When we speak about standard education it means there should be same and qualitative education across the world so that every human being can seek it in the very same like others do. Standard education lead destroy the poverty, misery, and hunger from the world. No any other human doctrine can stop the destruction of human beings except the education as it the train of the hour as well as the only way for the survival of humanity.Conclusion.From the above mentioned facts and realities it is quite clear that the meaning, purpose and cause of education should be to serve the humanity without any kind of discrimination on the basis of equality so that we can make our world a place better to live on peacefully and purposefully.

Detecting starch and sugars in food Essay Example for Free

Detecting starch and sugars in victuals EssayAimTo detect the presence of starch and sugars (glucose and fructose) in different food sources.BackgroundWe entertain many different foods in daily life and many of them contain nutrients like carbonhydrates which are essential to human life.Starch is a polysaccharide, a pigeonholing of nutrients known as carbonhydrates. Glucose and fructose are monosaccharides, simpler carbonhydrates which are often refered to as sugars. In prepare to detect the different carbonhydrates content in ranges of food, we employ 2 theories in our experiment. Firstly, starch can react with iodine to create a blue product. Secondly, glucose and fructose are reducing sugars which can be tested by benedicks reagent, because the reducing sugars which contain aldehydes group produce red copper( ) oxide precipitate when react with Benedicts reagent.Materials and equipments2cm3 of 1% starch solution, 2cm3 of 1% glucose solution, 10 cm3 of 1% iodine solution, 30 cm3 of 1% Benedicts reagent, small amounts of different type of food (mushrooms, potatoes, bread piece, dessert potatoes, lemon, onion, biscuit, cucumber, tomatoes, peanuts, lettus, tomato sauce, grimy jet-propelled plane vegetables, milk, cereal), white tileTen test tubes, test-tube holder, test-tube rack, Nusen burner, Heat-proof mat, safety glassesProcedures1. Three drops of 2cm3 of 1% starch solution was placed onto a white tile and common chord drops of iodine solution was added and observed the solor change.2. 2cm3 of glucose solution was placed into a test tube and added about five frops of Benedicts reagent and boiled gently. Observed the coloring change.3. Placed small piece of ten foods in ten test tubes and added one drop of irrigate, three drops of 2cm3 of 1% starch to them respectively and orderly. (mushrooms, potatoes, bread piece, sweet potatoes, lemon, onion, biscuit, cucumber, tomatoes, peanuts) Oserved the color change and made records.4. Placed small piece s of ten foods into ten different test tubes and added one drops of body of water, five drops of Benedicts reagent to them in order and respectively. (lemon, lettus, tomato sauce, cucumber, tomato, dark green vegetables, milk, biscuit, cereal, sweet potatoes) And boiled each test tube gently and observed the color change.5. Made a conclusion found on results.Result1.In procedure 1, the color of solution changed to blue-black when starch solution reacted with iodine solution. In procedure 2, the color of solution changed to orange-red when the glucose solution reacted with the Benedicts reagent and was heated.2.The diagram(fig.1) below shows what I observed directly after the procedure 3 Food sourceColor changeMushroomPotatoesBlue-black dirty money pieceBlue-blackSweet potatoesPurple-blueLemonOnionBiscuitBlue-blackCucumberTomatoesPeanuts3.Then,the diagram(fig.2) below shows what I observed directly after the procedure 4Food sourceColor changeLemonRed-orangeLettusDark purple-redToma ot sauceOrangeCucumberRed-orangeTomatoOrangeDark green vegetable drawLight orangeBiscuitOrangeCerealOrangeSweet potatoRed-orangeAnalysis1. In my whole experiment, the procedure 1 and 2 were used as testing thoeries to give us a standard to testify whether certain food source contained certain kinds of carbonhydrates. If in procedure 3 the food turned color near blue or purple, the food must contain starch inside. Whats more, if in procedure 4 the solution in the test tube turned color near red or orange, the food msust contain reducing sugars glucose or fructose.1. From the information and results I gathered from fig.2, I was able to figure out whether each food contains sugars glucose and fructose or not. The list was shown below(fig.4)From the diagram above we can clearly see that except dark green vegetables all the foods remained contain sugars glucose or fructose.EvaluationDuring the experiment, our group made several mistakes and I listed them below to evaluate them respective ly.1. At the beginning of the experiment, during the process of adding water to the washing powder solution to viosterolcm3. We first ingnored the bubbles above and filled the water till the 500cm3 scale but later on we found the water was oft sequences more than 500cm3, so we repeated the experiment from the starting point once again. This time, I controled the water very carefully by pouring it softly along side the walls of the beaker and measuring cylinder to make sure theres no bubble made during the procedures. My improvement was successful and at the second time we added water accurately to 500cm3.2. The color of final solution in test tube 2.5mgdm-3 was as dark as that of the solution with 10mgdm-3and its not tenacious with the general trend of other solutions. I considered the whole procedure of our experiment thoroughly and thought of two possible errors. Firstly we could have made that for the first time we might add more than 5 cm3 standard detergent solution to the t est tube. Secondly, because before using the 1000cm3 beaker to heat the test tube we used 500 cm3 beaker at first then we found it too small to hold six test tubes so we removed two test tubes out of the water and then put them into the bigger container. Maybe one of the two previously heated test tube was the 2.5mgdm-3 one and its darker because it has been heated for seconds before others.

Captive Marine Animals Vs. Free Living Animals

Captive oceanic Animals Vs. Free Living AnimalsFie LissnerThe pools that holds these glorious creatures stool obviously not be compared to the space and urine that an Orca can cover. A mound of leatherneck mammals that is in enslavement has to live under these premises. The Humane Society of the United States believes that these physicals should not be taken from the wild simply to entertain and amuse people, for a number of reasons (Marine mammals in captivity 5/13). The life of the individual oceanic wildcat that is not sustainment(a) in the wild has nothing to do with the life it wouldve had if it were to live in the wild. Which is obvious when you think of the way that theyre living the pools, the water, the ecosystem and basically everything in captivity has nothing on the wildlife that their ancestors had lived with back in time.Dolphins are perfectly evolved to live and flourish in their wild ocean home, not within the confines of a human-made concrete tank or art ificial lagoon. (Marine animals in captivity) This quote points out how the animals are able to live an healthy life in the wild. The human lead is taking advantage of the wild for our own frolic and there is something deeply wrong in this concept.Life for captive whales, dolphins, and other marine mammals is nothing interchangeable a life in the ocean. It is almost impossible to maintain a family group in captivity, a tragedy for whales and dolphins. When you see marine mammals in tanks or pools, consider what they have lost in order to entertain us. (Marine aqua parks). Most of the cons of having marine animals captive claims that we whole when have them for our entertainment and pure entertainment so I see how it would be frustrating for biologist who have these animals for research and schooling purposes as well as for the people who are only trying to befriend the animal(s) by having them captive. there is of course marine animals living in the wild. The wild is the marin e animals inborn habitat and can as antecedently discussed not be compared with the captive life that a lot of marine mammals has. many of the pros of the marine animals staying in their natural habitat is the obvious such as them growing up in the environment that their ancestors has been living in for decades upon decades.Cetaceans eat a variety of fish and invertebrates some species eat other marine mamThere is a a lot of pros and cons of being a marine mammal in captivity as well as in the wild. Some of the pros is drawn-out life expectancies, easier access to research on the given marine animal and the ability to get a better understanding of the marine animal and the animal will in most cases get the care needed.Over 90 percent of the American public feels that zoos and aquariums are essential to education, are important to acquisition about animals (The debate pro captivity 5/13). This quote tells that the pros of having marine animals in captivity isnt only essential for some research simply it can indeed increase the average students understanding for a certain animal. Reading about an animal can teach you a whole fate of stuff but seeing the animal in real life can certainly beat any book. There is also a lot of cons to keeping marine animals in captivity. One of which is the fact that orcas or so called killer whales can swim about 100 miles in 24 hours, these creatures can also go deep underwater about ergocalciferol ft. to be exact (marine mammals in captivity mals. (Captive vs. Wild 5/13). The marine animals will be able to find all these natural food sources in the wild and will naturally find their personal hunting technique. There is good and regretful to everything and this accounts for the bad things about animals being in the wild as well It is easy to see that in their own environments, little prevents such creatures from yielding to their natural impulses, as they should.(Marvel at wild animals from a distance 5/13) This quote basic ally says that there isnt going to be a lot holding the animals living in the wild holding them back from potentially hurting each other and in some cases even kill each other. Dolphins and other marine mammals are threatened by boat collisions and entrapment (commercial Fisheries and Marine mammal 5/13) this quote supports the claim that one threat to the marine mammals are boats and boat collisions. Some 100.000 animals living in the water gets injured or killed by commercial fishing every year (Commercial Fishing and Marine mammals 5/13). But that is only some of the few risks of being a marine mammal living in the wild.My opinion on this is that having animals in captivity can be a very good thing but it certainly has major flaws which i think we should try and fix. We should only have animals in captivity for educational reasons and not for peoples amusement. SeaWorlds contributions to animal rescue and rehab only amount to .0006 percent of its profits. (Grist 5/13). What is st ated in the quote is why i am so against having animals in captivity. Sea world makes a ton of money every season and for them to only give 0.0006% of their annual income to rehabilitation and rescue of the marine animals is wrong. Just purely wrong. We should not use such amazing creatures for entertainment and not help them. I am very much against having animals of all sorts as well as marine mammals captive the only time it should be considered okay to have any kind of animal captive is to rehabilitate them and help them if needed. 500 orcas, dolphins and other members of the dolphin family held in captivity in the United States. (Ten facts about captive orcas and dolphins 5/13). i strongly believe that most of the 500 marine animals being held captive around the U.S does not have a problem or an injury that holds them back from being set back into the wild. close every person with a soul is going to agree with my opinion that it is wrong to keep animals captive for our own amus ement. The more we learn about marine mammals, the more troubling it becomes to keep these complex, intelligent creatures in tanks and pens. Its time to see the situation from the animals point of view and reconsider whether its right to confine them for our amusement. (Marine mammals in captivity 5/13) It is also very saddening to see these creatures of the wild being held behind bars and knowing that theyre not where theyre sibyllic to be that theyre not home. But having the animals in captivity can not only hurt them mentally but also physically, the animal in captivity gets put under a whole lot of stress as well as pressure, this can affect all parts of the animal such as the immune system (captivity). Animals should not be held captive.Marine science work citing. The Debate Pro-captivityhttp//www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/whales/debate/procap.htmlanimals in the wildhttp//cfhs.ca/wild/marine_mammals_in_captivityMarine mammals in Captivityhttp//www.humanesociety.org/is sues/captive_marine/facts/marine_captivity.htmlMarin aqua parkshttp//www.humanesociety.org/issues/captive_marine/Wild vs. Captivehttps//awionline.org/content/wild-vs-captivityMarvel at wild animals from a distancehttp//www.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/02/25/palmer.killer.whales.captivity/Commercial Fisheries and Marine Mammalshttp//www.humanesociety.org/issues/fisheries/facts/fisheries_marine_mammals.htmlSeaWorld only spends 0.0006 percent of revenue on animal rescue and rehabilitationhttp//grist.org/list/seaworld-only-spends-0-0006-percent-of-revenue-on-animal-rescue-and-rehabilitation/Marine animals in captivity.http//www.worldanimalprotection.us.org/our-work/animals-wild/marine-animals-captivityTen facts about captive orcas and dolphins.http//www.bornfreeusa.org/facts.php?p=2688more=1Marine mammals in captivityhttp//www.hsi.org/issues/captive_marine/Captivityhttp//us.whales.org/wdc-in-action/captivity

Development of Microprocessor Based Automatic Gate

Development of littleprocessor Based Automatic GateABSTRACTIn this paper, we give detailed information about development of microprocessor based automatic entrance. In common gate operations many times troubles impart occur, victimisation microprocessor based automatic gate, we can completely remove these troubles easily. We atomic number 18 going to use this automatic gate in Automatic Car Parking. The automatic gate senses vehicle which they come near to it. It automatically opens, wait for a definite time, and closes after the time has passed. This constitution can also regularly check the enumerate of vehicle that entered the parklanding bea and calculate the available place limit of the area. The automatic gate developed in this paper is controlled by software, which can be modified any time whenever the governing body needs the change. Keywords automatic gate, microprocessor, automobile, traffic controllers.INTRODUCTIONNeed of automatic gate is rapidly increasing day by day. This system described the use of microprocessor as a controller. This automatic gate is nothing but the alternative of manual gate. Manual systems are costly, time consuming. Micro controlled gate areused in making sound system, Robot, automatic breaking system, etc. This automatic gate can be used in parking of residential home, organization, in public car parking. This system consists of an automatic remote control to open and close the door for parking. It opens the door only when the space is there. The automatic gate which is used here is not for security purpose. It is just developed to eliminate the problems which are faced by the older manual method. constitution OVERVIEWThe system presented here is microprocessor based automatic gate. Here microprocessor is used to control the sensing element which gives the information about space limit. This system opens, wait and closes door for car. And counts the phone number of car entered or exit. This system consists of tri gger rophy, sensor, CPU and memory module, uncover, gate and force supply whole. First sensor gives input signal to system. The sensor is visual when the car cross it then the signal is advanced otherwise it is LOW. Trigger is responsible for the HIGH and LOW signals. This trigger coverts the analog signal to digital. If the signal is HIGH then trigger radiates the signal to interface unit of measurement. Then the car enters the parking. If the signal is LOW then the car never enters to the parking area. Power supply unit supplies DC voltage for system.Block diagram of systemHARDWARE AND SOFTWARE DESIGNThe system design is divided into two partsHardware design. software system design.Hardware designSensor unitTrigger circuitCPU moduleMemory moduleDisplay unitGate control unitPower supply unit1. Sensor Unit-It is an optical sensor this is the light dependent register. This will change its resistance with intensity of light. In this system we use ORP12 it is called as dark re sistance of 10. When light ray are focused then resistance is low and if lights are disturbed, resistance will start increasing to dark resistance. Two pair of resister is used one for entrance gate and another for exit gate. Sensor unit send output to trigger circuit. When light ray focused output voltage is v01 and v02. And when light is getting interrupted then the voltage increases to 5v.2. Trigger Circuit-This is do up of trigger, two input NAND gate. This receives the output from sensor unit. If there is output from sensor unit then only trigger circuit go HIGH, otherwise it remains at LOW level.3. CPU Module-This provides system clock, reset and access to address data and control bus. Additional circuits are used which areClock circuit.Reset circuit.Clock circuit Crystal Oscillator is used to implement clock circuit. Cristal oscillator is more reliable for the high level output voltage. In this design the CPU which is used, has a clock cycle. Thus we use crystal oscillator a nd is pass through flip flop.Reset Circuit After the power is supplied this circuit initializes CPU if Halt occurs. If the CPU is reset the execution starts. It will clear the interrupt.4. Memory Module-In this module two techniques are used linear select and fully decoding technique. In linear select each bit select a device, can be done with small system. Doesnt need any decoding hardware, but it is time consuming. In fully decoding memory address is required to select memory device.Address decipherer It tells about space in memory to allocate the address pointed by microprocessor. In this combinational circuits are used. It can enable multiple inputs. When all enables are active then only decoder has active low outputs.5. Display Unit-Display unit uses the decimal and hexadecimal format for displaying purpose.Display unit consists of-Z80 PIO It provides 8-bit I/O port. It needs a driver to fed output to 7-segment display. Whenever a vehicle crosses the gate, this unit send sig nal to driver.BCD to 7 segment decoder For displaying decimal digit, decoder is used to take 4-bit BCD input.7-segment display6. Business Dilemma: CRM and Management of Cafe

Business Dilemma CRM and Management of CafeCUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP management assembly line DILEMMAThe most influential person in caf or in any business atomic number 18 the nodes, since with bug out guests, one does not have a business. Everything in a business environment revolves round clients. Similarly, in pillowcase of our caf, nodes be a key to a successful business at the leftover of the day. Knowing your guests and providing bliss to those customers would prepare customer obedience. Grandfather gave priority to customers thats why he knew all his customers. However, vindicatory knowing your customers is not enough one fillfully to keep a record of its customers so that its easy to analyze. Since customers are really influential towards a business, business (in our case, cafe) should treat each and every customer as if they were the only customer. While serving each customer, one must keep in mind the needs of that specific customer only and should serve in suc h a way that the service exceeds their expectation. Giving most priority towards customers would advance customer loyalty and keep that customer committed to a particular business.Through customers, a business domiciliate improve its business as said by Bill Gates Your most unhappy customers are your superior source of learning. Customer complains in fact is a key to improve the service, for instance, if a customer complains that the way coffee served was not pleasant and did not met the expectation, that complain post be occasiond as a tool to improve the coffee serving process by means of further training workshops for employees in that firmament. Thus, customers complain throw out be seen as a challenge to be met in future to make him/her (customer) happy and attracted to the cafe. If you treat your customers well, your customers will go out of their way to return to you. Therefore, customer feedback and suggestion bay window help improve a service. However, the caf may not have answers or response for all of customer questions and suggestions.Customers could help or hurt the cafe by means of viral marting. Word of mouth marketing is the largest determining factor for a service business image, which can be either online chatting or physical talk. If the service in caf is up to the expectation of the customer, it would help the caf to attract more customers finished viral marketing and gain market share. However, if the reapings and service in caf is very poor which made the customer unhappy can spread negative impression on another(prenominal) customers, infliction the go with through with(predicate) losing its current and potential customers. Moreover, online comment or complain on the cafes website can be injurious such as comment on You Tube. Literally, the customer does not intend to harm or hurt the company they comely want their needs to be fulfilled and service is up to their expectation. As already mentioned customer complains can p rovide an opportunity, thereby, helping the caf to improve its service. My employees will agree that customers are the most important part of cafe since thats the reason they are in cafe. If there wouldnt be any customer, there wouldnt be need for employees. Thus, customers determine or secure the period of employment of the employee. If there are fewer customers, employees may be laid off to cut down costs. However, some employees may feel that they are the most important part in a business. Employees are the most important asset of any business. If caf doesnt value its staff, it would demoralize them which can impact their implementation in service. And as a result, their poor performance can hinder customer growth of caf. Thus, some employees value themselves as the most valu fitted person in a business when compared to customers.MAKING BUSINESS DECISION realistic mankind is a 3D, electronically-generated environment where users can interact, relieve oneself and channelise ju st as they would in the real world for example, instant flavour (http//ictwm.org/news/ realistic-worlds-help-real-businesses).Virtual world provides mass with commences rather than processing transaction. Once people get attached to virtual experience, they would be excited virtually experiencing it in real conduct. This would only be possible through going to the real caf which would help the business in transaction processing. It alike aids in intensity customization as customers design or suggest what they exactly want. Virtual world encourage interaction, collaboration and dialogue. It can be accessed from anywhere in the world, thus, keeping people and caf connected. If caf provides continuous updates in virtual world, people nearby the caf would go for new and innovative proceedss in that caf just because of that cafes presence in virtual world which would enhance the business/caf operations. It could similarly be a marketing tool for the cafe to promote its menus f or the day through frequently changing attractive ads in the virtual world.Customer relationship in virtual world is very delicate matters since one does not physically meet to create impression. Virtual world should be designed in such a way that it is appealing and attractive to a customer. In virtual world, cafe business would be better able to meet customer satisfaction with minimum or no cost by changing designs to strengthen virtual customer relationship. Customer wont need to wait in long lines to be served, one can just go to the cafes website and get the thwack of coffee or of service in that caf. Virtual world does not restrict the access to any person any person can access to the website to have a taste. In other words, there is a greater yield and contact to honor strong customer relationship. Caf can be always available to its customer through virtual world without any disruption. Customers would be in a position to demand what they want based on their own specificat ion. This makes the customer feel like king through providing their customized products and enhancing better customer relationship. In traditional customer relationship management strategies, there has been lack of customer experience, co-creation, co-production and collaboration with customers. Thus, our strategy to manage customer in new virtual world is through co-creation and co-production with customers. Co-creation and co-production with customers is different than traditional customer-centric approaches in that the focus is not to learn as much as possible or so customers save instead consider them as equal problem solvers(http//findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb5858/is_200711/ai_n32252899/pg_2/). Giving customers an important role in the value chain can concern customer satisfaction. Value in co-creation derived by customers purposeful interaction cannot be obtained merely from asking the customers to answer questions and leave comments. Virtual worlds may provide an experi ence space that supports experience networks which go beyond the domain of a single company and its suppliers to one that is experience-centric to the customers.(http//findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb5858/is_200711/ai_n32252899/pg_3)Moreover, since there is a growing use of internet, it would be easier for company to collaborate with its customers through electronic CRM. Electronic CRM has a wider scope for managing customer relationship in a variety of ways and not just collaboration ranging from designing and pricing of digital products to loyalty programs.Supporting Second Life customers differs from supporting website customers as well as traditional customers. In second life, caf can design and create those products and services that a particular customer wants. It allows basically for customization as well as reaching out to customers for ideas, prototyping and feedback in a particular area giving caf a better competitive advantage. This means that customer support in second l ife would need to be met in real clipping especially to a customers demand. Second life is basically everything being electronic whereas traditional revolves around physical presence. Moreover, collaboration between customers and company is a major support in second life unlike traditional customers. Website supports customers with visitor selective culture and product review. It does not allow a customer to get the feeling of being in caf. However, second life gives a customer a virtual feel of being part of that caf in entree to visitor information. To make the experience of a virtual world customer great, second life location should offer free virtual coffee, music, and chairs with tables for customers to hang out. In the traditional (physical) environment, the caf needed to be closed off at a particular time, even though customers were involved in deep discussion. This does not bump in second life. Second life supports customers to continue with whatsoever they are doing i n the virtual caf without any time limit and can chat as late as they want. Furthermore, upcoming events, artwork and music should be available to customers visiting second life so that it becomes interesting and encourages them to explore the site. some other contravention between traditional and second life customer support is in terms of advertising. In past, business would use advertising agency to promote their products but now the caf can do in house advertising in virtual world attracting wider range of customers all round the world.Second life does not provide authentication of a persons identity. There is no access control and anyone can slow get into the second life and if there is any hidden information for customers only, that can be easily leaked and used to the disadvantage of the business, that is, the caf. Moreover, phishing can easily take place whereby an intruder who is against the caf business can create a website similar to the caf site and trick the custome rs into inputting confidential data. This confidential information can be used as a tool to harm the image of the caf through abstracted the customers information which would tremendously impact on the caf business. Similarly, misrepresentation can be another issue just like phishing, whereby someone designs an avatar that looks just like the avatar of a customer service representative.Other issue involves the obsolesce of real life location. Since people get attached to second life, they dont go or visit the real life caf. Second life caf can be visited by anyone but real world caf may not be. state in a region would only be visiting the caf and if those limited people get attached to second life caf, there wont be much importance of real life caf. Thus, issue arises that second life should be positioned and designed in such a way that real life caf does not get obsolete and people remain attracted to it as well to have real currency flow in business. Due to lack of authenticatio n, cover concerns arise. Maintaining customer confidentiality becomes an ethical issue and a challenge for businesses.MAKING BUSINESS DECISION IIYou Tube can be an important vehicle to communicate with the cafes customers. It is a popular free video sharing website where people can also comment on a particular video. We would design and create video clips of the cafes products and the way service is provided in caf and then share it on You Tube, using cartoon characters and other imaginary characters making the clip funny, interesting and informative. Through these clips, we can conveniently show our customers how we have minimized the problem of long wait lines. Firstly, we would make clips showing more counters for serving as well as mystify in windows. Long wait lines are basically because of few or only one counter, thus showing a clip with more counters can be seen as a reasonable rectification to the problem. Moreover, for travelers who want to be served instantly while in their vehicle, drive in windows would be a solution to avoid wait in lines when in rush as in case of McDonalds in Fiji. Clip can show a customer parliamentary law and being served in just few seconds through drive in windows. Furthermore, online ordering and tele-ordering can also be a rectification to long waiting lines. Through virtual world or cafes website, customers can order online as well as through phone calls before actually going to caf so that on their arrival, their order is prepared and no waiting is required. These solutions can be depicted on You Tube through videos using animated characters. You Tube as a communication vehicle, is free and easy to use. Unlike advertising over television, which is associated with costs, You Tube provides this for free whereby anyone can watch the videos and pass comments about how they feel about that particular video. As already said, it saves money on marketing since advertising can be done through clips to promote the caf. You T ube has a wider reach in terms of customers and markets. It is not restricted to a particular geographical region or location. Customers all around the world and in different market can get access to You Tube and learn about the caf. Also through You Tube, caf can get a great deal of information to umteen people in a short amount of time just through one clip. These benefits show that You Tube can be an efficient communication vehicle for any business whether it be caf or a car dealer. However, there are various disadvantages for You Tube as well. Since it can be viewed by anyone in the world, it may capture unwanted heed, for instance, is a person does not love coffee, he/she may not like the clip based on coffee and would comment negatively which would create bad impression to other customers. You Tube also in some cases compresses the content of clips and other files, making it unlikable to customers as its not presented in the right way intended and information can be chopped in that compression. Products may not be clear(p) to customers, thus, proper(a) communication of that product such as coffee maybe hindered. Also due to missing information or half information, it could become ambitious to understand what the file tries to reveal to customers. Issues of privacy concern and copyright infringement can be cons of You Tube. Privacy can be made vulnerable as amount of information on video can be dangerous such as unintentionally showing where an employee lives or showing someones bio-data while promoting the product or service. Therefore, before starting to use You Tube as a medium of communication vehicle, one must clearly study the pros and cons of it to see whether benefits are there or not.Other new technologies that can be used as a customer communication vehicle that would be more in effect(p) than You Tube are social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. It allows more than just posting video. One can post comments, pictures, update inf ormation and create events on it. Twitter and facebook help bringing customers together. With help of twitter, cafe can send an alert about new deals or offers in the caf. Blogging can also be a publishing medium. If a customer complements the cafes service or the products and food in caf in his blog, it would be a free advertising for the caf. but can also harm the image if blogger comments in a negative way.APPLY YOUR KNOWLEDGETo obtain high fictional character data, systems in the caf must be integrated, since musical note information does make a difference in any business. Major importance of superior information is that it induces enhanced, accurate and appropriate end making. The quality of information used to make business decision determines the quality of decision made. Having real time system in caf would provide real time information in response to decision makers queries and requests. High quality decisions can significantly impact the cafes bottom line, thus, profi tability. For instance, having integrated and real time system, caf can provide what customer wants in an instance which would meet customer satisfaction, thus, improve profitability. Moreover, high quality information enables any business to track valuable customers who generate most revenues. Having proper information about a particular customer visiting caf frequently can help caf identify the loyal customer and could reward him or her so that they keep coming in future. Uses can place confidence on information of high quality since it is reliable. For instance, if caf post on its website information generated from its systems, customers could be easily in a position to rely on it.On the other hand, low quality information results in various business effects. Low quality information are those which has missing information example no first name of customer, incomplete information example no street or missing area code, probable duplicate information such as similar name, equal address or phone number and potentially wrong information. The effects of this on cafes business would be its inability to accurately track customers, difficulty identifying valuable customers, inability to identify marketing opportunities of cafes product, marketing to non-existent customers, difficulty tracking revenue and inability to build strong customer relationship (net slides). Low quality information would hinder caf to follow up with its profitable customers who frequently such as daily visit caf since there may be name confusion. Also if systems are not integrated, it becomes difficult to provide accurately what customer wants and may three to providing wrong products. This will affect the demand and supply of a particular product which would not be reliable. Also caf may be marketing and promoting its caf and product to a non-existent customer online due to fake or same names who are not cafes usual customers. Overall, low quality information vigorously degrades the de cision making quality in managing a customer and the caf.The examples of information that can be used by The Broadway Caf to gain better understanding of its customers are customers taste and preferences. If the caf gets a picture of what their current and potential customers would like to consume, caf can be prepared for the product and provide the customer that product when they actually came and demand. Moreover, having a design idea about the customers disposable income would help understand the affordability of prices by customers. This would give the caf a view as to what prices customers would be willing to pay for the cafes products such as coffee. Changes in environment and weather would also help in getting to know the customers and their wants, for instance, coffee would be largely demanded during colder seasons in Fiji. Some of the data quality issues are as follows. Firstly, dirty data issues due to data errors which can be attributed to human errors or an application e rror due to legacy systems. Since theres a large quantity of data to be fed in the system, humans are prone to make errors. Missing and duplicate data are other two issues (Turban, E., and Volonino, L., 2009). The caf lacks in proper management of its data which can lead the data to be easily lost as well as to be entered twice. This could really affect the output results thus affecting decision making. Moreover, data can be non-standardized and massed up due to lack of standards. The strategies the company can use to avoid such data quality issues are to implement Master Data Management system. It is comprises a set of processes and tools that consistently defines and manages the non-transactional data entities of an organization. MDM has the objective of providing processes for collecting, aggregating, matching, consolidating, quality-assuring, prevail and distributing such data throughout an organization to ensure consistency and control in the ongoing maintenance and applicatio n use of this information. (http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_data_management) MDM would reduce or spend the data quality issues, giving a unified view of enterprise data. It can also use automated data entry, Web forms for individual get in data with data integrity checks and drop down menus and radio buttons. (Turban, E., and Volonino, L., 2009) having frequent data audits in the system can also aid in preventing the preceding(prenominal) mentioned issues since data would be continuously reviewed and any errors would be detected and corrected appropriately without further problems in future.CAFES BEST CUSTOMERS**Customer IDTotal Sales sum total ($)354818,261.86443826,474.28565711,342.98689110,585.941380133,555.501395919,593.6527017714,355.9929489611,348.4030566849,647.4554013516,338.02130994811,401.60** We have assumed that the cafes best customers are the ones that bring in gross sales amount dollars of more than $10000.Listed above are the cafes best customers. The caf sh ould offer to its valuable customers loyalty marketing programs such as point programs whereby a customer would get points for every purchase they make and when they reach a certain level and cool enough points, will get a special reward such as Jacks of Fiji which is using this marketing system to keep their loyal customers attached. Moreover, the caf can give its valuable customers loyalty cards as MH in Fiji is dong with its flash and gain card. Providing customers with promotional vouchers would also give them a feeling of gustatory modality for their service. Keeping in touch strategy can also be a way of marketing campaign towards valuable customers. Giving personal attention towards the profitable customers is a way to build relationship and keep them in your business. This can be done by sending them promotional messages personally through email or calls frequently and asking for their feedbacks as to what they would like in future and their expectation from caf.Broadway C afeQuestionNameTotalWhat is the best selling product?Music CD$776,813.17What is the worst selling product?Kids CD$96What is the best sales calendar month?3$569,339.10What is the worst sales month?5$58,501.06What is the best selling product during the best month?Music CD$235,054.45What is the worst selling product during the best month?Kids CD$64What is the best selling product during the worst month?Music CD$33,684.43What is the worst selling product during the worst month?Food$63.2* For answering the above questions, we have taken our base as sales amount values to reach an answer.SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENTBUSINESS DILEMMABroadway Caf can create the caf by making use of demand planning software. This software would enable the caf to be prepared in peak hours of business since it would capture and give information as and when a customer enters either the caf or the car park of the caf. For instance, as part of software set, a camera can be attached at the roof of the caf to capture i nformation on people entering the car park and determine what they would normally order at that particular time of the day. Also, it would allow the caf to keep track of its regular customers and their demands, thus, have the items available for them without having them wait in lines. This can be done before a customer enters the caf. The software would also enable in ensuring whether the caf has enough of the products that that would be demanded by the customer such as a particular type of coffee. Although the implementation of such a software would be costly at its initial stage, it would be beneficial for caf in future as it is located in Suva, to obtain customer satisfaction and where people are always in rush. Thus, demand planning software would be a great benefit for the caf.Like Netflix, we would not see caf worthy a supplier in another business supply such as hotel industry since our caf itself is very small at this stage. First, it needs to widen its customer base with th e help of demand planning software and online ordering system (electronic ordering). Since our caf has a website, we could include in that a feature where customers order online, paying through credit cards or paying subscription fee for being in that account. The caf can based on customers order deliver the items to the customer within the Suva area if large quantities are ordered such as Pizza King which delivers pizza to people living in urban and suburban areas. Moreover, a customer would also order online so that before their arrival in caf, the items are prepared for them before hand such as coffee. Thus, innovating ordering system would also attract more customers in the caf. With the help of these supply chain technologies, the caf can expand its customer base and from there on can think larger and better options such as becoming supplier of coffee/coffee beans to hotels or other businesses such as MacDonald.MAKING BUSINESS DECISION IThe success of any business depends on it s ability of short and long term planning. As a concerned business operator, I would always maintain some broth in my storage warehouse for such unexpected events especially coffee beans which are in demand. Since not being able to meet customer demand would lead to losing out customers. Thus, our caf would keep with its operation regardless of disruption in supply chain du to dockworkers strike and would run on warehouse inventory (Brazil Beans, China Tea and custom Coffee press machines). Moreover, based on available inventory analysis in the warehouse, we would determine how long supply would last. Is our warehouse inventory wouldnt be able to meet up with the disruption period, we would resort to redundant suppliers since all suppliers wont be affected at once with the same problem. We would consider our temporary local suppliers such as Nestle to supply us with similar products as long as we are able to blend efficiently, although the cost in emergency need may be higher than usual price paid to our fixed suppliers.Since the caf has been going towards demand-driven manufacturing, Radio Frequency realization Technologies (RFIT) would be the newest and most efficient solution to supply chain problems. RFIT is the most valuable technology to track inventory. If inventory level in any case would be low, it would trigger automatic alert to our suppliers. It is an important device in global transportation both land and sea. It ensures that inventory level are check and replenished on need by need basis. Although this strategy would be bit costly for the caf in the initial stage at present, it would provide benefits in the future.Another strategy I would recommend is to create a position as freight specialist whose job would be to enable transportation of products in whatever the situation maybe and at any cost. The freight specialist would guarantee that products would reach the caf on time to meet customer demand and if not than they would be responsible f or the loss.MAKING BUSINESS DECISION IIBroadway caf No moveBroadway CafUnits sold per month20,000Unit variable costs$0.50Average unit sales price$2.20Current fixed costs$5,000Added lease payment, new offices$2,500Projected fixed costs$7,500Sales monthUnitsSalesFixed Costs variable CostsEBITJanuary6,582$14,480$5,000$3,291$6,189February11,121$24,466$5,000$5,561$13,906March14,178$31,192$5,000$7,089

What is the Difference Between AC and DC :: electricity electric current

What is authorized. First off, what is current. received is expressed in a building block called Amps. Amps ar a measurement of how many electrons pass per second. That is to say, a wire with 40 coulombs passing any point in a 2 seconds would be said to have 20 Amps of current (40 Coulombs (a unit of charge given as 6.24x1018 electrons) / time in seconds or in this case, 2 seconds. The Amp is besides known as Coulombs per second) Another trick about current is that it is measured in the movement of the positive charge. Literally that is to say the current moves in oppostion to the electrons. This is because in the beginning it was thought that the positive charge is what moved, both are viable, but in reality a positive charge is generally fixed since within an pinch the electrons are migratory, while the protons and neutrons tend to be stationary. What is AC/DC? AC and DC literally stand for Alternating Current and Direct Current. Direct Current is very convenient and is used in many modern day utilities. For a circuit with DC the current is constanly in mavin direction, while the potency remains constant. This makes for a simplistic circuit, for example a flashlight, The batteries are a source of electrochemical DC power and . However AC is called Alternating Current because the voltage changes from negative to positive a given number of times a second, this is also described as the frequency of the power. An example of this would be a motor ran by a hand crank. The inversing of charges creates a sinusoidal graph which looks something like figure 1 (given in radians). This makes for an unsteady power source and privy often times be warped from the sinusoidal shape. So the main difference between AC and DC is the way the energy is transmitted. Why are we using Alternationg Current today? There are a few reason although mainly it was due to the technology of the late 1800s and early 1900s. Nikola Tesla being one of the leading scientists for Alternating Current, created a way to run engines and also convert AC Volts and Amps. He came up with this while he was supposedly in a park in Budhapest. He sat down and drew out the basic diagram of a motor run by a charismatic flux.

Father Solanus Casey :: essays research papers

Father Solanus Casey played an important role in many peoples lives, just like Jesus. He believed that living a good liveness meant living a life of service, love, prayer, sacrifice, and worship. He also believed that self sacrifice was imperative to a good relationship with perfection. His dedication to God leads to the assumption of many similarities between him and Jesus.Father Solanus believed in a life of heavy worship. From the time he was a little boy to the time he died he prayed more than once daily. He held the belief that he would be sustained throughout his life by rosary devotion to Mary. Sometimes, during his life at the monastery, Fr. Solanus would fall asleep on the chapel floor while praying. Fr. Solanus believed praying helped him realize Gods wonderful gifts and everlasting plans for us.Father Solanus did his best to help build the reign of God. He urgeed to Catholics and non-Catholics alike about God and Jesus. He invited all people to join the reign of God by loving God and loving their neighbors. Fr. Solanus worked hard to preach the good news of the gospel to everyone. He also worked hard trying to feed the poor and better the sick, just as Jesus did. Fr. Solanuss whole life was devoted to helping the reign of God, just like Jesus was.Father Solanus reflected the paschal mystery in many ways. His death, like Jesus death on the cross, was slow and painful. He also prayed in his last moments. His death was a very sorrowful event to his followers, just as Jesus was. After Fr. Solanus was dead, he continued to help and heal people, just as Jesus did. When Jesus washed his disciples feet he was showing his love a devotion to them, even though he knew that they would betray him in his most desperate hour of need. Father Solanus tried to show this same love and compassion to all the people whose lives he touched. When Father Solanus helped people and meliorate people he knew some of them were sinners. When he helped people he knew some of them were not catholic. When he advised people he knew that they had previously made gravely decisions. But none of these things mattered to Father Solanus, because he loved all of Gods children, just as Jesus did.Father Solanus left many models of how to live life properly behind when he died, just as Jesus did.
